Langford is Changing
After many months of consultation including our staff forums, family and participant forums change is here.
Langford is changing to be more person centred. Langford will have a new structure, and the people we support will be able to plan and implement their supports with the people who support them.
The roll out of the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is driving the need for change, organisations such as Langford need to be able to offer a range of support services that are more tailored and individualised.
Our support services will be designed to be more responsive to individuals, offer flexibility and choice in regards to times of support, location and staffing.
There are changes to our organisational structure, with new positions and job roles in all teams. The next stage of change will be the tailoring of services both in the community and at our residential sites that will be new and create opportunity for personal growth both for participants and support teams.
The organisation will no longer have a Management Structure, Langford will operate with a Coaching Model. Coaching means that support teams will have a coach that supports them to work with participants to design and deliver support services. This model allows participants to make decisions about their support with their direct support team.
Langford remains committed to upholding existing support plans through a process of slow change.
Clients, families and staff will be kept up to date with the changes through forums, training and newsletters.
Updates will become a regular feature as we move through this change process, updates will also be posted on our website and Facebook pages, and of course we are available to talk in person or over the phone .
